1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
Email address, display name, authentication identifiers, assigned grade, subscription status, and preferences provided by the account holder.
Learning information
Lesson activity, answers, attempts, progress, mastery signals, feedback, and messages submitted to optional tutor features.
Technical information
Browser and device information, IP address, timestamps, security logs, cookies, and local storage needed for sessions, preferences, reliability, and security.
Payment information
Our payment provider processes payment details. Numeria receives transaction, subscription, and entitlement records but does not store complete payment-card numbers.
2. How we use information
- Provide accounts, lessons, progress, feedback, subscriptions, and support.
- Personalize grade-appropriate learning and identify misconceptions.
- Operate safety, security, fraud-prevention, and service-reliability controls.
- Improve the Service using aggregated or appropriately protected evidence.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Children and student privacy
Numeria is designed for educational use. Younger learners should use a parent-, guardian-, or school-managed account. We minimize personal information, do not sell student data, do not use student data for targeted advertising, and do not use student data to train general-purpose AI models by default. Contact us if you believe a child’s information was collected without required authorization.
4. AI tutor data
Prompts, learner work, and curriculum context may be processed to provide tutor responses and safety checks. We limit this processing to operating and improving the authorized learning experience and apply provider controls intended to prevent general model training on student data.
5. Sharing and service providers
We share information only as needed with providers supporting hosting, authentication, databases, payments, email, media, accessibility, security, and AI or speech features. Providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We may disclose information when required by law or needed to protect users, rights, safety, and service integrity.
6. Sale, advertising, and tracking
We do not sell personal information and do not serve targeted advertising to learners. We limit tracking to what is necessary for account operation, security, preferences, service measurement, and legally permitted analytics.
7. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain learning and billing records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect users. Backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion.
8. Security
We use safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including access controls and protected service connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Processing locations
Information may be processed in locations where Numeria and its service providers operate, subject to applicable legal requirements.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion of personal information and may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. A parent or guardian may make an authorized request for a younger learner.
11. Changes
We may revise this policy as the Service, providers, or law changes. Material updates will be reflected by the date above and communicated when required.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the contact channel published on the AiEconLab website.
